Course Description:
The modes for heat transfer, unsteady-state heat conduction, steady-state heat conduction, natural and forced convection, radiation heat transfer, design of heat exchangers and heat transfer equipment is covered in this course.

Course Outline:
o Formulate, simplify, and solve heat balance equations in rectangular, cylindrical, and spherical coordinates o Solve problems involving steady heat conduction o Solve problems involving un-steady heat conduction o Understanding convective and radiation heat transfer o Analyze convective heat transfer for internal and external flows o Boiling and condensation o Heat transfer in common configurations with applications o Design of heat exchange equipment encountered in the chemical process industries
