Course Description:
This course studies the introduction to the fluid methods of particulate systems, the features and handling of a particulate solids, the size reduction, the mechanical separation methods, screening, filtration, sedimentation, the floatation and the separation by cyclone.
Course Outline:
Chapter one: introduction. Chapter two: fluid mechanics. Chapter three: basic equations of fluid flow. Chapter five: flow of incompressible fluids in conduits and thin layers. Chapter eight: transportation and metric of fluids. Chapter nine: agitation and mixing of liquids. Text book: Unit operations of chemical engineering 5th edition (Warren L. McCabe and Julian C.
