MECHANICAL MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGIES (MMT)

Course Description:
In this course, the trainees study different measuring devices which are used in different mechanical engineering applications such as manufacturing, quality assurance, design and workshops. The course work includes all engineering techniques should be taken into account during measurement of any mechanical part.

Course Outline:
1) Introduction to significant figures and notations in addition to accuracy during measurement 2) physical metric measuring devices (caliber , micrometer , meters. . . . etc) 3) Thermal measuring devices (thermometer, thermocouple, bimetallic wires . . . . etc) 4) Pressure measuring devices (barometer, manometer, Bourdon Range . . . . etc) 5) Mechanical engineering drawings: measurement approach
