PROFESSIONAL ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEMS

Course Description:
This course enables the engineer to analyze the power in the transmission lines and the three phase systems using Gauss-Seidel Method and Newton- Method, as it introduce the engineer to the Power World Simulator software.

Course Outline:
1) Fundamentals:  Phasors.  Instantaneous Power in AC Circuits.  Complex Power.  Power in Balanced Three-Phase Circuits. 2) Power Transformers and the Per-Unit System. 3) Transmission Line Parameters. 4) Power Flow Solution by Gauss-Seidel. 5) Power Flow Solution by Newton-Raphson. 6) Power World Simulator.
