Course Description:
This course enables the trainer to design steel structural elements using the allowable where these elements are exposed to design stresses, compression, tension, shear and bending.

1) Understanding the design using the principle of allowable stresses 2) The analysis and design of various elements of steel beams and columns 3) Design of links and welding for various steel structure elements 4) The use of computer software in the design of steel structures 5) The preparation of design drawings for various steel structural elements
