Course Description:
This course introduces the equilibrium conditions for the mechanical structures. The equilibrium of a point body and rigid body is studied. The types of loads: eccentric force, pressure, distributed load, moment, and torque are studied. The moment of inertia of rigid bodies calculations are explained. The analysis of beams and trusses is included. Moreover, the shear-moment diagrams are studied. Finally, the friction forces and surfaces are included.

4. Equilibrium of a rigid body
5. Analysis of multi-loaded structures
6. Beam’s analysis: shear moment diagrams
7. Truss’s introduction
8. Trusses analysis methods: method of joint and method of section
9. Moment of inertia for a regular body.
10. Friction between rigid bodies and surfaces; sliding, tipping, and moving.
